Your role As part of the huge growth in demand in our Water Sector Practice, we are seeking an experienced leader to join our highly talented team, working on the pursuit and delivery of major advisory, consulting and transformation services across the sector. Our clients are some of the largest UK Water companies with whom we have longstanding relationships. This role is designed to further expand and strengthen our position in this market.
As a Senior Manager or Manager within Capgemini Invent’s Water Sector Team (Part of Energy Transition & Utilities) you will help drive our business, own client relationships, take a leading role in orchestration across our business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. You will combine deep Water sector expertise with strong consulting skills, leading client engagements and supporting the expansion of our client base. Responsibilities Business Development – Lead/contribute to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
Project Delivery – Lead engagements with our clients and deliver them with quality, on time and on budget. Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development. Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Thought Leadership – help grow our market thinking, positioning, including attending/presenting at industry events and supporting publications. Your profile Significant experience gained within consulting within the Water sector, including with one or more of the UK Water Companies, strong relationships with existing UK Water Companies Exceptional consulting skills, meaning experience of working in a major consulting firm, and/or in industry but with a consulting background Experience of proposition building and delivery, with a track record of building and leading high‑performing teams Experience of digital programme delivery, design, across at least one of Capital Delivery, Waste and Water Operations and Back office Experience of managing senior client relationships within a UK Water company Deep understanding of sector trends, regulatory environment, and the challenges facing UK Water Companies Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in teams Commitment to personal and team development, with a passion for coaching and mentoring others Flexibility to travel and work at client sites as required Scope of Services Water and Waste Operations, Asset Management and/or Capital Delivery Business Development Experience Design and deployment of digital transformation and AI solutions and services Emerging business and digital trends in Water sector, such as intelligent system operations, IoT, advanced analytics, mobile applications, automation, digital twin and BIM Benefits & Working Environment We thrive on cooperation rather than competition.
