Manager β Project Finance We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Manager β Project Financ e to join our Business Development team based in Bangalore, India. This role will play a key part in executing and structuring large-scale infrastructure and development transactions, including greenfield and brownfield projects, refinancings, acquisitions, divestments, and stake sales. Candidate Background We are particularly interested in professionals with experience in: Project Finance teams within Developers.
Investment Banking (M&A and/or fundraising experience. Financial Advisory firms advising on project finance transactions. Investments Private Equity Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, superior communication skills, and above-average exposure to investment transactions.
Key Responsibilities: Transaction Execution & Financial Leader shipBuild, audit, maintain and supervise the development of complex financial models for large infrastructure projects. Lead financial modelling workstreams across greenfield and brownfield developments, refinancings, acquisitions, divestments and stake sales. Ensure models comply with project agreements, financing documents, accounting and tax regulations across jurisdictions.
Conduct financial analysis, optimization and business valuation to support business development and bid teams. Prepare investment memoranda, internal approvals documentation, and Board-level presentations. Support economic analysis and financial structuring optimization for existing assets (including impairment tests and performance reviews.
Fundraising & Financial Structuring Lead and support fundraising activities, including structuring and negotiations with banks, export credit agencies and financial institutions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions across assigned geographies. Coordinate due diligence, tax, accounting and modelling workstreams with internal teams and external advisors.
Team Leadership & Governance Work closely with Transaction Managers (Executive Manager / Director) in project execution. Coordinate with Business Development, Legal, Technical, Finance and external stakeholders to ensure timely transaction delivery. Provide financial advisory guidance to subsidiaries and support Board/Audit Committee requirements.
Train and oversee Managers (M1) and interns within the team. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelorβs Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field. MBA, CA, CFA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications preferred.
Experience: 6 + years of relevant experience specifically in project finance within developers, banks, financial institutions, advisory firms or consultancies. Proven track record in building and managing advanced financial models. Strong exposure to project finance structuring, M&A and/or fundraising.
Strong negotiation skills with investors and lenders. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills.
Strong commercial acumen. Clear, confident communicator with stakeholder management ability. High ownership mindset and ability to lead transaction works teams.
Exceptional attention to detail with strong governance awareness.
