Responsibilities Owns the end-to-end creation and management of the global Managed and Professional Services portfolio, including creatively defining tiered service models (SLAs, monitoring, optimization, analytics) integrated with hardware, software, and relevant communications technologies (RFID, RTLS, IoT, wireless), while closely collaborating with operations to ensure the viability and success of service execution. Demonstrated success building managed and professional service portfolios, driving attach rate strategy and recurring revenue growth.
Experience in utilizing AI to design, develop, and implement professional and managed services offerings, with a strong emphasis on creating outcomeâbased solutions for specific vertical markets or use cases. Through comprehensive knowledge of market, competitive landscape, customer requirements, distribution channels and Zebra offerings, anticipates market and customer requirements for assigned product(s). Often manages the most complex or immature offers or multiple smaller portfolios.
Creates and executes VOC and competitive landscape requirements. Leads crossâfunctional VOC activities. Monitors target markets and identify opportunities for innovation.
Works collaboratively with other functional leaders to develop, align on business objectives. Owns development and presentation of business case by completing supportive research, authoring slides and delivering presentations to internal and external audiences, routinely including senior management and occasionally including executives. Monitors and reports business metrics against plan.
Recommends metrics to assess business performance. Fully accountable for integrated business plan inputs. Develops documentation of product and market requirements.
Demonstrates ownership and engagement beyond immediate assignments by mentoring and collaborating with other portfolio managers. Owns product lifecycle management for assigned Product lines/families of moderate to high complexity, including tactical execution, managing custom requirements, developing and driving endâofâlife plans and execution of inventory objectives. Demonstrates full knowledge of development process.
Contributes to 3â5âyear roadmap development process and makes recommendations on the longâterm strategy for the entire suite of offerings. Sets pricing strategy. Establishes product price to maximize sales and profitability.
Recommends promotion strategy by working in collaboration with Product Marketing department. Provides recommendations to influence distribution strategy to meet market needs. Supports product launch by providing a comprehensive understanding of the value proposition.
Deliver product training to sales, sales engineers, technical support, and other internal and external stakeholders. Works closely with development teams and other key stakeholders to oversee new service development validating development is on spec. Identifies beta site targets, drafts and implements plans.
Monitors financial performance of product lines and makes recommendations for pricing action against revenue and margin objectives. Sets target product costs for new products. Evaluates cost reduction initiatives working in concert with Sustaining Engineering, Finance, and other internal partners.
Acts as a champion to innovation by generating ideas for new offerings, exposing the team to best practices in offer management and introducing methods for brainstorming and creative thinking. Contributes to innovation by generating ideas for new offerings. Location & Hybrid Work Must be able to work hybrid (3 days in office/2 remote) from Lincolnshire, IL or Holtsville, NY.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelorâs degree required, MBA or masterâs degree preferred. 8+ years of relevant experience, including experience in professional and managed services. 25% travel, domestic and international. Preferred Skills and Competencies Understanding of hardware and software services. Experience with RFID, RTLS, IoT, or wireless connectivity ecosystems.
Experience in Manufacturing, Transportation & Logistics, Retail, or Warehousing verticals. Experience launching global managed and professional services offerings. Experience utilizing AI to create professional and managed services offerings, particularly outcomeâbased models for vertical markets and/or specific customer use cases.
Experience working closely with enterprise customers to drive stickiness and valueâchain expansion. Experience launching services through partners (revenue sharing/interâcompany processes/accreditation programs). Strong process adherence.
Strong attention to detail. Fluent level of English (written and verbal) as well as local language as applicable. Advanced level skills in Microsoft business applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Advanced P & L knowledge. Advanced market knowledge in assigned category. Customer service values/orientation.
Strong professional work behaviors (attendance, teamwork, time management, follow through). Advanced analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated experience in managing execution of portfolio management functions.
Demonstrates good judgment in decision making; applies knowledge and past experience to guide decisions. Strong business acumen/industry knowledge in one or more primary verticals. Strong Presentation Skills.
Formal training strongly preferred. Strong communication skills (listening, providing clear and concise information, using proper language and grammar). Advanced problemâsolving skills.
Pay Range $122,800.00 â $184,200.00 Annual Incentive Compensation In addition to base pay, this role offers an opportunity to earn a performanceâbased annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 12% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
