Maintenance ManagerLocation: Chesterfield We are working with a well-established steel manufacturer in Chesterfield to recruit a Maintenance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering function, playing a key role in both hands-on maintenance and team leadership.

The Role This is a a combination of a hands-on engineering and leadership, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the tools while also developing and managing a team. Key responsibilities include: Managing a team of Maintenance Engineers, with plans to expand Leading day-to-day maintenance activities across the site Ordering spare parts and managing inventory Project managing engineering improvements and maintenance initiatives Organising statutory inspections and ensuring compliance Managing external contractors on-site Raising purchase orders and controlling maintenance spend Driving and maintaining high standards of health & safety Supporting and developing the use of the CMMS system The Candidate We are open to Maintenance Supervisors / Maintenance Leaders looking for a step up Ideal background: Experience within heavy engineering, xwzovoh steel, or precision manufacturing environments Either electrical or mechanical bias considered (electrical preferred, but not essential) Strong organisational and leadership skills Comfortable balancing hands-on engineering with team management Experience with CMMS systems would be advantageous Apply now or to discuss this Maintenance Managers role, please contact Kerry Hill.
