Description Viwinco is searching for an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager who will lead and oversee facility maintenance operations. This role ensures optimal performance, reliability and safety of all equipment and infrastructure by developing maintenance strategies, leading and developing a team of technicians and engineers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Acts as a key agent in plant management and operations transformation.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the maintenance engineering team, including technicians, supervisors, and engineers, to ensure a system of escalation for accuracy and speed of sharing critical information horizontally and vertically. Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to raise machine reliability. Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, control costs, and oversee procurement of tools and equipment and services.
Manage system of equipment commissioning, startup, qualification and validation. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment uptime, response time, and maintenance cost per unit.
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing objectives and resolve technical issues. Manage and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to ensure accurate records of equipment history, maintenance schedules, and work orders. Use data analytics and practical methods to pursue rapid root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and equipment failures.
Support capital projects, facility upgrades, and equipment installations. Oversee and lead training and development programs for the maintenance team to ensure technical competency, continuous improvement, and career growth. Support and manage processes/projects related to fabrication of racks, jigs, fixtures, dollies, and carts; serve as a partner in the execution of team ideas.
Collaborative leadership to foster a culture of teamwork, customer first, problem solving, and accountability. Implement 5S inside and outside of the plant facility. Other duties, as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus. 7+ years of progressive experience in maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 3 to 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or machine building. Demonstrative portfolio of projects for new equipment introduction, product launch, and process set up.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, and Trio) in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficient with CMMS (Fiix, Maximo), and maintenance planning tools. Excellent project management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Effective leadership, communication, and team‑building capabilities. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in high‑speed manufacturing environment with automation and robotics (food processing, automotive, building products, etc). Professional certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional). Working knowledge of regulatory standards such as OSHA, ISO, and NFPA. #J-18808-Ljbffr
