Legal Operations & Data Protection Analyst

Job Purpose: Support and optimize Privacy, Compliance, and Legal Operations processes with a strong focus on privacy governance, AI compliance, documentation management, audit readiness, and legal operations excellence. This role will drive operational efficiency through structured governance programs, process improvements, documentation lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring compliance obligations remain current, traceable, and audit-ready. Who You Are: LLB or equivalent legal qualification with enrolment under a State Bar Council in India 6+ years of experience in Privacy, Compliance, Legal Operations, or Commercial Legal functions, preferably within a technology or SaaS environment Strong understanding of privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, DPDP, and related compliance frameworks Exposure to AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles, and emerging AI regulations such as the EU AI Act is preferred Experience managing document lifecycle programs, including version control, review cycles, approvals, and audit trails Hands-on experience supporting privacy governance initiatives, policy management, and compliance documentation Experience working with CLM platforms and legal operations tools; familiarity with Salesforce, Ironclad, or similar systems is preferred Strong process orientation with the ability to build, maintain, and improve governance workflows and tracking mechanisms Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail in legal documentation and review processes Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining high levels of accuracy and organization Comfortable collaborating with global stakeholders across multiple time zones Experience using AI-assisted legal tools and workflow automation solutions is advantageous What Will Excite Us: Experience supporting privacy certifications such as ISO 27701 and AI governance certifications such as ISO 42001 Experience responding to customer privacy questionnaires, diligence requests, and compliance audits Exposure to data mapping, processing records, data residency requirements, and data rights management programs Experience creating SOPs, governance frameworks, process documentation, and operational dashboards Familiarity with privacy impact assessments, risk registers, and compliance reporting processes Experience working with Legal Operations, Security, Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify process gaps and drive continuous improvements Exposure to AI governance programs, responsible AI initiatives, and legal technology solutions What Will Excite You: Opportunity to play a key role in building and scaling Privacy and AI Governance programs Exposure to emerging global privacy and AI regulatory frameworks Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Security, and Data teams Drive operational improvements that enhance governance, compliance, and audit readiness Work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with significant ownership and autonomy Contribute to the evolution of AI-enabled legal and compliance operations Shift Timings: UK shift Location: Ahmedabad / Remote
