The Role This is a senior engineering position for someone who wants architectural influence, technical ownership, and the opportunity to shape how a platform 'll join a platform engineering team responsible for systems that directly underpin global product delivery, working across the full stack with modern tooling and cloud-native infrastructure. The expectation at this level is clear: strong fundamentals, clean architecture, and confident decision-making. You will operate as a senior individual contributor with meaningful influence over design, quality, and technical standards, without heavy management layers getting in the way. Key Responsibilities Design and evolve core platform systems with scalability and long-term maintainability in mind Deliver full-stack features using TypeScript / Node.js on the backend and React / on the frontend Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS across application and infrastructure layers Define and manage infrastructure through Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices Own CI/CD pipelines and release processes end to end Apply test-driven development and strong automated testing principles throughout delivery Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term platform direction Troubleshoot complex production issues across the full stack Collaborate closely with product and delivery stakeholders to shape technical solutions What You'll Need Essential Strong commercial experience as a Software Engineer at senior level Deep experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, particularly in Node.js environments Strong frontend capability using React and Hands-on AWS experience across application deployment and infrastructure Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform Solid database fundamentals across relational and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB or similar) Proven experience operating within modern CI/CD environments Clear understanding of scalable system design and cloud-native architecture Right to work in the UK Nice to have Experience writing backends in Rust Exposure to AI-powered developer tooling and agentic workflows Why Apply?
