Junior Sister/Charge Nurse

Job Overview We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced clinical nurse to join our Neonatal Service on the NICU at the Birmingham Women's Hospital, part of the Birmingham Women's & Children's NHS Foundation Trust. Responsibilities Provide outstanding communication and support to the operational workforce. Maintain and develop close working relationships with partners across the Birmingham Local Maternity Service. Work a full range of clinical shifts over the 24‑hour period and demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and resilience. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team working with the NICU, Neonatal Outreach Team (NCOT), Maternity Services and the Regional Fetal Medicine Centre as part of the Network Perinatal Centre. Ensure delivery of care across the full spectrum of the HRG level 5‑1 neonatal service specification, including safe discharge to the developing community service. Qualifications Current experience working in a neonatal intensive care environment. Outstanding communication skills and ability to support the operational workforce. Adaptable, flexible, resilient, able to work 24‑hour shifts.
