Millennium Insurance is looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Business Systems, you will support the development and continuous improvement of our insurance products and services.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain handsâon experience working alongside subject matter experts, business users, and IT to deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. What you will be doing Support crossâfunctional teams in gathering, evaluating, and documenting business requirements related to insurance products and processes Assist in modeling current business processes and contribute ideas for improvement and optimization Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for IT and development teams Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement Help prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to help verify that solutions meet defined business requirements Participate in project and delivery meetings, supporting planning and status tracking activities Assist in maintaining project documentation, plans, and timelines Support the exploration and use of lowâcode/noâcode tools to help deliver business solutions Stay curious about industry trends and regulations relevant to P&C insurance What you bring to the team Postâsecondary education in Business Analysis, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field Up to one year of related experience in a business analysis, operations, or analytical role, including internships and coâop placements; insurance or financial services exposure is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, wellâstructured documentation such as requirements, process narratives, and status updates for both technical and nonâtechnical audiences Solid analytical and problemâsolving skills with an eye for detail and comfort working with data Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with process or workflow documentation is an asset Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organized in a fastâpaced environment A genuine desire to learn and a strong commitment to personal and professional development Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery environments is an asset Experience with SQL or lowâcode/noâcode applications is considered an asset How you will succeed In your first year, success will be measured by your ability to build a solid understanding of Millenniumâs business and the insurance industry, develop proficiency in the tools and processes used by the team, and establish strong working relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders. Youâll be expected to communicate clearly, keep your documentation organized, and show a growing ability to manage multiple tasks.
