Job Description IT Service Desk Analyst (1st / 2nd Line)\n\nCentral Birmingham (2-3 days onsite)\n 6 Month Contract (strong chance of extension)\n £275 - £300 per day (Outside IR35)\n\nWe're partnered with a well-established business looking for a reliable IT Service Desk Analyst to support their internal users and keep operations running smoothly.\n\nThis is a hands-on Microsoft environment role suited to someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership of day-to-day support.\n\nThe role\n\nYou'll provide 1st/2nd line support to a 500+ user base, handling everything from access issues and password resets through to troubleshooting devices and Microsoft 365.\n\nYou'll be working across Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Active Directory, and Azure (Entra). There's also a strong focus on Intune for device enrolment, compliance, and endpoint support.\n\nYou'll manage tickets end-to-end, support onboarding/offboarding, and work with tools like Microsoft Defender and Sentinel within the wider environment.\n\nWhat they're looking for\n\nThis role requires someone experienced who can contribute immediately in a busy environment.\n\nKey skills:\n\nWindows 10/11 support\nMicrosoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Defender)\nActive Directory (user management, permissions)\nMicrosoft Intune (device enrolment, compliance)\nITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow) and SLA-driven support\nAzure (Entra)\nMicrosoft Defender/Sentinel\nBasic networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN)The right fit\n\nSomeone practical, organised, and easy to work with, who can communicate clearly with non-technical users and resolve issues efficiently
