IT Operations Analyst | Solihull | £50,000 + Benefits We are looking for a proactive IT Operations Analyst to join a growing team. This isn’t just a maintenance role; you will be the backbone of the operational technology services, ensuring infrastructure is high‑performing, secure, and ready for the future. Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, you will work within a wider service operations team to drive real value for end users.

The Role In this fast‑paced, 3rd‑line environment, you will manage and support the full spectrum of IT services. You’ll be tasked with: Infrastructure Excellence: Providing expert 3rd‑line support and proactively maintaining all systems to a high standard. Cloud and Identity Management: Managing and maintaining Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 Admin Portals (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Defender).

Operational Stability: Conducting root‑cause analysis for recurring incidents (Problem Management) and performing critical infrastructure and application upgrades. Security and Compliance: Managing vulnerabilities, ensuring security patching, and adhering to strict ITIL core processes. Service Transition: Aiding in the smooth delivery of projects and managing 3rd‑party suppliers to resolve complex incidents.

What We’re Looking For Technical Specialist: You have proven experience in a 3rd‑line operational role with a focus on service operation. Microsoft Expert: You possess deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, SCCM, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem. Virtualisation and Backup: You are proficient in administering VMware vSphere and Veeam Backup and Restore.

Cloud Literate: You have a solid understanding of Microsoft Azure and cloud‑based security concepts. Problem Solver: You use excellent troubleshooting techniques to implement root fixes and have a good grasp of networking (LAN, WAN, Wireless). Certified Professional: You hold an ITIL v3 Foundation certification and ideally have MCSE‑level qualifications or certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, or VMware.
