Up to $120,000 Yearly Bonus 8% (Based on overall company and individual performance) 5V Tech are supporting a global engineering and technology organisation looking to hire an IT Manager for their growing Montreal operation. This is not a specialist role focused on a single area of IT. We're looking for a versatile IT leader who enjoys operating across the full technology stack, from infrastructure and networking to cybersecurity , automation , vendor management , and IT strategy .
You'll take full ownership of the site's IT function, leading a team of IT Administrators while working closely with engineering, software development, and corporate teams locally and internationally. Key Responsibilities Own and develop the site's IT infrastructure strategy Manage systems, networks, virtualisation , storage , and backup environments Oversee cybersecurity , access control, and physical security processes Support software development and engineering teams with critical IT infrastructure Lead and mentor a team of two IT Administrators Manage hardware procurement, software licensing, and vendor relationships Drive automation initiatives and infrastructure improvements Ensure alignment with global IT standards, policies, and security requirements Help scale the IT environment to support future business growth What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience across IT infrastructure , systems administration , and networking Previous leadership experience, or the ambition and capability to step into an IT management position Strong Linux experience ( RHEL and/or Ubuntu ) Networking and security experience with enterprise platforms such as Cisco and Palo Alto Experience with automation tools such as Terraform , Docker , and Ansible Eligibility to obtain and maintain Canadian security clearance Fluent English and French communication skills Why Join?
