Saturn has an opportunity for a full‑time Information Services (IS) Business Analyst & Data Developer based in the Calgary, Alberta office. Reporting to the Team Lead, Business Applications & Data Analytics, the Business Analyst & Data Developer is responsible for bridging business needs with technology solutions by performing end‑to‑end business, systems, and data analysis. This role combines project leadership, business process analysis, and technical development to support enterprise systems, data integrity, and reporting requirements across the organization.
Responsibilities Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement Develop a strong understanding of business unit operations, priorities, and challenges. Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and process modeling. Collaborate with stakeholders to define solution requirements and ensure alignment between business and IT.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings throughout project lifecycles. Project & Delivery Management Lead or support multiple concurrent projects, including planning, tracking milestones, budgets, and risks. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure quality delivery within established frameworks.
Support implementation of new processes, systems, and workflows. Systems & Application Support Provide ongoing support for enterprise applications and systems in collaboration with infrastructure teams. Assist with system validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
Support integration of data across systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Data Analysis & Development Design and document data flows, integrations, and data marts. Develop, validate, and test data pipelines and reporting outputs.
Establish and enforce data input standards to maintain data integrity. Support reporting and regulatory data requirements across business units. Process Improvement Review, design, and document business processes and workflows.
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation and improved data usage. Qualifications Post‑secondary degree in Commerce, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or development roles. Experience with structured business analysis methodologies and project delivery practices.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Domain & Systems Experience Strong background in P2 (Production Accounting) systems, including Qbyte FM, CS Land, and Metrix. Experience supporting or working within upstream oil and gas business processes is considered an asset.
Technical Skills (Preferred) Experience with data tools and programming (e.g., SQL, Python, SSRS, scripting). Familiarity with enterprise systems and integrations. Experience with testing (UAT, integration testing) and data conversion.
Additional Assets Knowledge of related systems such as OpenInvoice or other finance/land applications. Understanding of project management frameworks (e.g., PMP, ITIL, PROSCI). Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
