Internal Audit - Front End Engineer - Analyst / Associate - Birmingham, Birmingham, West Midlands, England, United Kingdom Job Description At Goldman Sachs, our engineers build scalable software and systems, architect low‑latency infrastructure solutions, and safeguard against cyber threats. In the Internal Audit Engineering team, the focus is supporting audit processes by developing and maintaining enterprise software. Responsibilities Propose, design, and implement software solutions to enhance services and enable new business functions.
Hands‑on development and participation in architecture and design discussions. Collaborate with other engineering teams to develop data feeds. Work with the global user group to support and enhance applications for new requirements.
Translate business workflows into technical specifications. Qualifications Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience). Minimum 2 years of application development engineering experience.
Programming in Java and building transactional systems. Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. Experience with front‑end web‑stack development.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members. Preferred Qualifications REST‑based web services and microservice architecture. Experience with React or Angular.
Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, and Hazelcast. Experience with GitLab and Kubernetes. Basic PL‑SQL knowledge.
