Job Description Posted Friday, May 15, 2026 at 6:00 a.m. | Expires Monday, June 1, 2026 at 5:59 a.m. Overview of role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intermediate Application Support Analyst to join our busy team. This role is critical in ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement to our application landscape. You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, vendors, and other support teams. You will help drive resolution of complex issues while enhancing overall service quality. Key Responsibilities Providing Level 2/3 support for businessâcritical applications, ensuring high availability and performance Lead incident management, including triage, root cause analysis, and postâincident reviews Drive problem management by identifying trends and implementing longâterm solutions Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements Own and improve ticket hygiene, SLAs and service delivery metrics Work with thirdâparty vendors to prioritize and resolve defects and/or enhancements Support release management activities, including validation, deployment support and postârelease monitoring Contribute to process improvements, automation and operational best practices Maintain and enhance documentation, knowledge base articles and runbooks Qualifications & Experience Diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, management information systems, or equivalent through a combination of education and/or experience. 5+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or IT Operations Strong experience with incident, problem, and change management process (ITIL) Handsâon experience with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Splunk Experience supporting applications hosted inâhouse (Windows and Linux) and in Azure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning Proficient in MS Azure Architecture, Azure Cloud concepts, Azure Management and Governance Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile environments Experience supporting integrated systems and APIs Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple systems and platforms Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders Experience working with Vendors in support of hosted applications Experience supporting applications that use Apache Kafka for eventâdriven communication â to analyze consumer lag and throughput issues Working knowledge of Snowflake â familiarity with data pipelines, ingestion process, and transformations feeding Snowflake Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Scripting or automation experience Monitoring experience Benefits WestJet provides all WestJetters with a competitive total rewards package.
