Detailed job description The successful candidate will contribute to the Land Test Facility (LTF) project for the River and Bay class destroyer (DCFR) as a member of the Integration, Test and Evaluation (I,T&E) team performing the following activities: Responsibilities Develop or review a shipboard or land-based test and trial system, including commissioning, integration testing, harbour acceptance testing, sea acceptance testing, and operational test and evaluation. Perform inspections after installation and commissioning of equipment. Develop and execute test documentation to verify the operation of integrated systems and software.
Record test results in the test management system. Complete defect reports and related documentation. Perform test report reviews to include results of data analysis and report findings, as required, to key stakeholders.
Support planning and execution of acceptance activities. Support the development of Contract Essential Data Lists (CEDLs). Support development and maintenance of the network of test sequences and the time-phased test sequence network.
Manage implementation of model-based testing methodology and traceability. Participate in training activities and acquire knowledge of complex warfare systems. Required Qualifications Post-secondary education preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience (military or civilian).
Experience in Integration and Test (I&T). Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules, including evenings and weekends, as required. Ability to solve difficult problems within a team.
High degree of initiative and autonomy. Ethical, respectful and collaborative approach, contributing positively to a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Able to obtain NATO Secret security clearance in a timely manner. Desired Skills Experience operating the CMS-330 combat management system considered an asset. I&T experience, including understanding of the Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM).
Familiarity with IBM DOORS considered an asset. Good knowledge of CAMEO. Good knowledge of I&T processes.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum considered an asset. Good knowledge of software development and testing. Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Good knowledge of Linux. Good knowledge of JIRA/Confluence. Good knowledge of SharePoint and Windchill.
