Job Description
Job Description We are looking for a hands-on developer with strong technical capability, modern API engineering experience, and the confidence to engage directly with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers. The successful candidate will contribute across the full integration lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment, support, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain REST-based APIs and integration services hosted on the Azure platform Build and support inbound and outbound integrations between ISS systems, customer platforms, and supplier systems Implement API lifecycle management including versioning, documentation, and deprecation strategies Ensure integrations are resilient, scalable, and observable through effective logging, monitoring, and error handling Develop integration solutions using Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure API Management, and Logic Apps where appropriate Implement modern security patterns including Entra ID (Azure AD), OAuth2/OpenID Connect, managed identities, and Key Vault Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to translate requirements into well-defined integration designs and interface contracts Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Technical Experience Building and operating integration services using Azure Functions, Azure App Service, and Azure API Management Implementing secure integrations using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), managed identities, Key Vault, and RBAC Delivering integrations through modern DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), Git source control, and monitoring with Application Insights Integrating with Finance systems such as ERP, billing, and financial reporting platforms Person Specification Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation Comfortable working collaboratively within a busy, delivery-focused team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Confident presenting to internal ISS and client stakeholders at varying levels Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset Experience working in Agile or delivery-focused environments The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
