Job Description: The Office of Institutional Effectiveness at Siena University is seeking applications for a full-time administrative position of Institutional Effectiveness Analyst. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs for Institutional Effectiveness, the Analyst plays an important role in compliance and strategic functions for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE). The primary responsibilities for this position include the review of academic program documents in preparation for submission to the New York State Education Department (NYSED), management of Siena's strategic planning software, providing training and support to campus users, updating data, and producing reports.

The Analyst is responsible for leading the production of Siena's Fact Book, maintaining the OIE website with special attention to compliance requirements, contributing to the production of internal reports, and maintaining internal tracking documents. Key Responsibilities Review academic program submission documents for completeness, accuracy, and clarity; Provide thorough and actionable feedback on drafts, working in an iterative process leading to timely and high-quality submissions to NYSED; Maintain related institutionally developed templates. Serve as first point of contact for stakeholder questions about the strategic planning software, demonstrate fluency in that tool and function as the expert on campus; Liaise with the software provider to address issues, as needed.

Execute the periodic update process to record progress towards strategic goals and produce summary reports. Lead the production of the Siena Fact Book including data production and validation, coordinating the work of the OIE team, liaising with campus stakeholders, and compilation of the final document. Support the production of internally produced data reports through drafting, proofreading, editing, data validation and/or final formatting; distill data into tables and graphs as appropriate.

Maintain key internal tracking or reference files Manage the Office of Institutional Effectiveness website Requirements: Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Proven ability to quickly learn the logic of different software platforms and develop fluency to get the most out of a tool Ability to use Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, at the level of an experienced user Technical writing and data presentation skills, experience producing large high-quality documents, excellent proofreading skills are strongly desired Oral presentation skills and the ability to provide / experience providing training to faculty, staff, and administrators Respect for the importance of institutional compliance Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the Office of Institutional Effectiveness professionally and collegially in all interactions with the community. Strong record keeping and project tracking skills.

Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited institution Demonstrated experience working with and analyzing data, understanding of statistical reasoning and the interpretation of common data presentations (tables, graphs) Experience using Microsoft Access Demonstrated ability to alternate between writing intensive tasks and quantitative analyses An awareness of the significance of institutional compliance with the mandates of authorizing bodies Experience working in a higher education environment Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language) or other coding or natural processing languages Additional Information: Pay Rate: $66,000 *The hiring pay rate above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.
