Job Description

Informatica Developer / Admin - Greater Boston (Contract-to-Hire Opportunity) Our client requires an Informatica Developer on-site in Greater Boston (3 days per week, Tuesday–Thursday). This six‑month contract can convert to full‑time. The candidate must be local to Boston and eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Minimum ramp‑up expectation; start date will be coordinated accordingly. Position Overview The selected candidate will serve as the system administrator for the Informatica suite of products, including PowerCenter, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Quality (IDQ). The role includes administration, support, and occasional development tasks.

Responsibilities Administer and support on‑premises Informatica PowerCenter, MDM, and IDQ environments, including installation, configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting on Windows platforms. Provide second‑level support to application development and end‑user teams for debugging issues beyond first‑line support. Install and configure new products or components, create new environments, and lead upgrades.

Monitor change control for infrastructure work that may impact availability, such as server/database patching, disaster recovery, and upgrades. Produce and maintain technical documentation, deployment diagrams, and checklists. Coordinate with vendors and technology partners.

Apply knowledge of systems architecture, data warehouse design, and data modeling to support the platform. Act as a development resource during downtime or backend issues. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 5–7 years of administration experience with Informatica PowerCenter, IDQ, and MDM. Strong understanding of application architecture, operating systems, network infrastructure, data storage, and back‑end databases to aid installation and troubleshooting. Solid background in Oracle databases, including basic architecture, security configuration, and SQL skills.

Experience with MS SQL Server and Windows Server 2019. Integration experience with third‑party systems, both hosted and on‑prem. Hands‑on experience with Informatica upgrades.

Proficiency in scripting, preferably PowerShell, Python, or Perl. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Meticulous and analytical problem‑solving abilities.

Familiarity with Active Directory/LDAP and Windows configuration. #J-18808-Ljbffr
