Access to modern tools and a collaborative team that values initiative. What you’ll do Translate scope, budget, and contract documents into compliant Building Automation Controls designs. Develop full BAS submittal packages: detailed riser diagrams, network architecture, and physical point‑to‑point wiring schematics for HVAC and electrical systems.
Create and validate Sequences of Operations (SOO) to ensure performance requirements are met. Produce accurate Bills of Material and polished engineered documents using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio (CDT). Perform BAS system design: load calculations, equipment selection, and control system integration.
Support the Sales team during estimation and bid phases with design input. Collaborate with Project Managers to craft RFIs; identify and resolve plan/spec discrepancies. Integrate protocols expertly: BACnet MSTP/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, and LonWorks.
Maintain meticulous documentation for design systems, wiring diagrams, and software configurations. Independently execute large, complex projects using standard tools and practices with smart deviations where appropriate. Forecast required design labor and track against budget and forecast goals.
Coordinate with external customers and vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Assist with project timeline, budget, and cross‑team coordination. Recommend products that add functionality and value; support service engineering for existing buildings.
When assigned, develop and maintain engineering standards libraries for both Bosch Building Technologies and the industry. Other duties as assigned. Must‑have capabilities Deep HVAC knowledge: RTUs, FCUs, VAV boxes; AHUs, DOAS, MUA; hydronic systems with valve sizing; chiller plants (air‑cooled/water‑cooled), cooling towers; boiler plants with heat exchangers.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio (CDT). Strong documentation habits and attention to detail. Preferred qualifications 2+ years programming experience with Tridium/Niagara, Spyder tool, EIKON, EC‑gfxProgram, and/or Controller Configuration Tool.
Track record proposing cost‑effective technical solutions. Experience maintaining internal standards, libraries, or best practices for design/engineering. Background in both design and support/service engineering for installed building systems.
