HR & People Operations Manager June 2026 - May 2028 (extensions based on performance available) Hybrid The Opportunity An innovative and growing organization is seeking an experienced HR & People Operations Manager to lead and evolve its people function. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys building processes, driving people initiatives, and partnering closely with leadership to support organizational growth. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will oversee the full employee lifecycle while developing scalable people programs, policies, and systems that support a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities Human Resources Operations Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, and employee records.
Coordinate payroll, compensation administration, and employee-related processes. Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation and HR best practices. Develop, maintain, and improve HR policies, procedures, and internal documentation.
Serve as the primary resource for employee and management HR inquiries. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Lead full-cycle recruitment across a variety of functions and levels. Partner with leaders to identify hiring needs and support workforce planning initiatives.
Enhance hiring processes, candidate experience, and recruitment best practices. Develop proactive talent pipelines to support future growth. Performance Management & Employee Development Support the design and implementation of performance management programs.
Assist leaders with goal setting, performance conversations, coaching, and development planning. Identify learning and development opportunities that support employee growth and organizational success. Promote a culture of continuous feedback and professional development.
Employee Experience & Culture Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture. Develop and administer employee feedback programs, surveys, and recognition initiatives. Support employee retention, team effectiveness, and workplace engagement strategies.
Coordinate internal events, team-building activities, and culture-focused programs. Partner with leadership to cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing environment. Strategic HR Partnership Provide guidance and support to leaders on employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and people-related matters.
Contribute to organizational planning, change management, and growth initiatives. Support workforce planning and organizational design discussions. Align people programs and HR initiatives with broader business objectives.
Special Projects & Operational Initiatives Participate in cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence and organizational growth. Support process improvement initiatives and internal planning activities. Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders on strategic projects and evolving business priorities.
Qualifications 5+ years of progressive Human Resources or People Operations experience. Experience supporting both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day HR operations. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR processes, programs, and systems.
Experience working within fast-paced, evolving, or high-growth environments. Strong recruitment and talent acquisition experience. Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. Strong judgment, professionalism, and ability to manage confidential information. Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred Experience Experience operating as a standalone HR professional or leading a broad HR function. Experience implementing performance management frameworks and employee development programs. Background in employee engagement, organizational development, or culture initiatives.
Experience introducing or optimizing HR technology and people systems.
