About the Role As Shop Service Manager , you'll lead maintenance operations across multiple shop locations, overseeing a team of skilled technicians while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant fleet maintenance. You'll play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence, developing talent, managing shop performance, and creating an environment where employees and customers can count on exceptional results.
What You'll Be Doing Lead, coach, and develop a team of diesel technicians while reinforcing TCI's Core Values. Oversee preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair operations to maximize fleet uptime. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Build lasting customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and resolving maintenance concerns. Recruit, train, mentor, and retain top-performing technicians. Manage shop budgets, labor productivity, inventory, and operating costs.
Drive continuous improvement through safety meetings, performance coaching, and operational best practices. What You Bring 10+ years of diesel technician experience. 5+ years of shop management or maintenance leadership experience. Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and drive operational performance.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations. Solid computer proficiency and experience with maintenance systems.
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
