Head of Engineering

Our client is seeking a senior electrical engineering leader to drive technical strategy and execution across utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, while also supporting the performance and optimization of operating assets. Key Responsibilities Lead technical oversight for both new project development and existing plant operations Partner cross-functionally with project management and procurement teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget Act as the primary technical liaison with EPCs, vendors, utilities, and regulatory bodies Guide engineering studies, feasibility assessments, and design reviews Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements Identify and implement performance improvements across operating assets Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance efficiency and reliability Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation and specifications Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degree preferred) 15+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years of utility-scale solar projects Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams or functions Strong expertise in MV/HV systems, substations, protection & control, and grid interconnection Working knowledge of U.S. standards (NEC, IEEE) and ERCOT interconnection requirements Experience collaborating with EPC contractors and supporting construction activities Proven ability to lead design reviews and manage technical documentation #J-18808-Ljbffr
