Job Title: Global Trade Compliance Business Analyst Duration: 6 months contract with possibility for extensions Location: 100% remote for Mumbai, Dublin, Singapore Introduction : We are seeking an experienced Global Trade Compliance Business Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in supporting the business across a broad spectrum of global import and export compliance matters. This position is vital in ensuring our compliance with international trade regulations while enabling data-driven decision-making through the creation of innovative dashboards and reports. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in global trade compliance and advanced analytics tools to model the potential impact of tariffs on the business model and drive continuous improvement in compliance processes .

Roles and Responsibilities Collaborate with regional trade compliance teams and business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business requirements and functional processes, adapting them as business needs evolve. Maintain and oversee day-to-day global classification processes to support global import volumes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Assist with technology, hardware, and software trade classification, including management of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Schedule B, and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) classifications.

Manage compliance activities equally focused on imports and exports (50% each). Develop and contribute to documented classification justifications based on the General Rules of Interpretation (GRI) foundation for global import classifications. Provide import compliance guidance in adherence to US and international regulations, including conducting research, updating status reports, and coordinating deliverables within the team.

Build, maintain, and analyze data-informed metrics to generate actionable insights that enhance the global trade compliance program. Establish and nurture positive business relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Engage with software development teams to understand and influence evolving compliance technology, identifying opportunities to automate manual processes.

Generate and contribute to performance requirements, timelines, and metrics for all related activities. Support project management efforts to ensure timely delivery of team assignments and objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or global trade compliance environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed reports. Proven experience with global trade compliance regulations, including import/export laws and logistics preferred.

Demonstrated ability to independently research and dive deep into complex compliance requests and issues. Tools and Technologies: Proficient in Smartsheet, Power BI, and AWS Quicksight with hands-on experience creating new dashboards, running data batches, and developing meaningful metrics and reports. Strong data analytics and data entry skills to support compliance reporting and insights generation.

Familiarity with trade classification tools and regulatory databases is a plus.
