Role: General Manager – North America Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Role Summary As General Manager, you will serve as the senior technology and business leader for Maestronic’s North American operations. You’ll oversee the development, deployment, and performance of advanced transit information and security systems, while driving strategic growth, client engagement, and operational excellence. Strategic Technology Oversight Lead execution of Maestronic’s technology roadmap across infotainment, surveillance, networking, wireless communication, passenger counting (APC) and fleet management (CAD/AVL) systems Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure product compliance with transit standards and transit authority requirements Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption to maintain Maestronic’s competitive edge Oversee R&D initiatives and patent strategy in coordination with HQ and international offices Operational Leadership Manage cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, installation, and support staff Ensure seamless integration of hardware and software across transit networks Oversee large-scale deployments and maintenance projects in collaboration with subcontractors Maintain high standards of system reliability, scalability, and lifecycle performance Client & Partner Engagement Act as the technical and strategic liaison for key accounts, transit authorities, and industry partners Lead responses to RFPs and bids with a focus on innovation and feasibility Customize solutions to meet client-specific operational and regulatory needs\ Represent Maestronic at industry forums and expositions including APTA, UITP, CUTA, and ITxPT Business Development Skills Identify and pursue new business opportunities across transit agencies, OEMs, and integrators Develop go-to-market strategies for new products and services Build and nurture long-term client relationships to drive recurring revenue and account expansion Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to position Maestronic’s technology offerings effectively Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions Contribute to contract negotiations and partnership development Financial & Business Impact Align technology investments with budgetary goals and ROI targets Monitor KPIs related to system uptime, deployment timelines, and customer satisfaction Support strategic planning and long-term growth initiatives Manage budgets and ensure financial performance across North American operations Required Expertise Deep understanding of transit technologies including IT, across infotainment, surveillance, wireless communication, passenger counting (APC) and fleet management (CAD/AVL) systems Proven experience in managing technical teams and complex projects Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical capabilities into strategic value Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration (Master’s preferred) Experience in the transit technology sector
