Full Stack Web Developer (Next.js & TypeScript)

Location: Remote (UK-based preferred) Type: Full-time About Neptune Digital Neptune Digital is a UK-based digital consultancy delivering exceptional software, design, and digital experiences for ambitious organisations. We help teams modernise their systems, create digital products, and grow through elegant technology and design. We’re expanding our development team and looking for a Full Stack Web Developer with deep experience in modern web architecture, someone who can build scalable, performant systems and beautiful, intuitive interfaces. About the Role You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance web applications and PWAs for Neptune’s clients. You’ll work closely with our design, strategy, and infrastructure teams to turn complex business processes into streamlined digital experiences. We’re looking for someone who can contribute across the full stack - from database schema design and API architecture to front-end performance and user experience. Your Tech Stack You’ll work primarily with: Vercel – for hosting and deployment Next.js – as the core web framework TypeScript – for typed, maintainable code Clerk / WorkOS – for authentication and user management Supabase – for data persistence and real-time features PostHog / New Relic / Ingest / DataDog – for analytics, observability, and performance monitoring ShadCN (or similar UI frameworks) – for component-based, accessible design systems Responsibilities Design and build scalable, maintainable web applications and PWAs using the above stack Collaborate with designers and strategists to deliver high-quality, user-centric experiences Implement secure authentication, permissions, and session management using Clerk or WorkOS Design and optimise database schemas and queries within Supabase Set up and interpret analytics and monitoring tools (PostHog, New Relic, etc.) Manage hosting, CI/CD, and performance on Vercel Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following TypeScript and React best practices Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and sprint planning within a cross-functional team About You You’re a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. You enjoy crafting well-structured systems as much as designing seamless interfaces.
