Job Description

This is not a traditional finance role — and that's exactly the point. Aurora Towers (“Aurora”) is a Canadian telecommunications infrastructure company, backed by CVC DIF, a leading global infrastructure private-equity investor. CVC DIF is well‑capitalized with a proven track record of strong portfolio company growth.

Aurora builds, owns, and operates wireless communication assets across Canada. Aurora leases space on its assets to wireless communications companies and assists companies deploying their mission critical networks. Aurora is seeking a Finance Engineer to help lead that charge.

We need someone who can operate at the intersection of rigorous financial analysis and forward‑thinking AI‑driven automation. The Finance Engineer will be a strategic and technical partner to senior leadership – owning financial planning and analysis, long‑term financial modeling, supporting the economics of M&A activity, and driving the adoption of AI tools that transform how our finance function operates. This role is for someone who is not content with the status quo and sees artificial intelligence not as a buzzword, but as the defining capability of the modern finance professional.

What You'll Do FP&A, Long‑Term Modeling & Economic Decision Support Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the business, working in tandem with Sales, Real Estate and Operations teams Develop and update dynamic financial models to support strategic decisions, capital allocation, valuation exercises and scenario planning Translate long‑term model outputs into clear narratives and recommendations for leadership and other stakeholders Provide clear, actionable economic analysis to help leadership make faster, better‑informed decisions Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure that give real‑time visibility into financial performance Acquisitions & M&A Support Evaluate acquisition targets through a rigorous financial lens, assessing synergies, risks, and value creation potential. Key activities include (but not limited to) financial modeling/valuation analyses, quality of earnings review, and integration planning Build acquisition models that assess long‑term value creation, including synergy timelines, earn‑out structures, and 5 to 10-year return scenarios Support post‑close integration efforts to align acquired entities with organizational reporting standards AI Automation & Finance Innovation Identify and implement AI tools that automate repetitive finance processes – reporting, reconciliation, data aggregation, and more Champion a culture of continuous improvement and technological adoption within the finance function Collaborate with operations and leadership to extend AI‑driven workflows beyond finance and into the broader organization Stay ahead of emerging tools and bring practical, implementable ideas to the table What This Role Is Not The title says "Engineer", and while technical curiosity is essential, this is not a software engineering or data engineering role. We are not looking for someone to write production code or build data infrastructure from scratch.

We are looking for a finance professional who has embraced technology as a force multiplier: someone who can evaluate, implement, and leverage AI tools to make themselves and the team dramatically more effective. Prior experience in a role specifically titled "Finance Engineer" is not required. What matters is that you've been thinking about where finance is headed, and you're ready to help build it. #J-18808-Ljbffr
