Need ETL candidate but tool is not finalised Replacement of Mizuho internal systems Staff Aug role Banking domain 5 years experience is must Need 2-3 candidate with 5+ years of experience Location Noida (may travel to Singapore - Optional) or may require travelling to Chennai Overview: The Data Transformation Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines by understanding the business requirements of both data sources and target systems, including extracting data, transforming it into the required business-relevant information. This role requires more than just following instructions we need someone who proactively identifies issues, understands the "why" behind the request, and takes ownership of designing and implementing solutions. Flexibility beyond assigned roles is key in our culture.

Responsibilities: Work closely with business units and product teams to elicit and structure often-implicit data requirements and convert them into business relevant information. Integrate and normalize data from various sources (e.g., operational systems, external DBs/APIs, flat files), ensuring it is suitable for downstream business use. Design and implement reusable, scalable data models following data modeling best practices.

Define and enforce standardization in data transformation processes (e.g., naming conventions, coding styles, table design, data transformation guidelines) Assess and communicate the impact of data model or pipeline changes on other teams, and proactively coordinate with stakeholders to mitigate risks Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of data pipelines, data models, and transformation logic Collaborate with team, project managers, and architects to lead cross-team initiatives related to data quality, lineage, and governance. Conduct impact analysis and stakeholder communication when new data sources or structural changes are introduced to the system. Requirements: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the IT system integration (SI) particularly in project execution and coordination roles within the banking domain. Hands-on experience with SQL, and ETL tools Ability to translate business logic into data architecture and transformation processes Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starter mindset Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team Business-level English (Japanese not required, but a plus) Hands-on experience with mission-critical systems and the ability to work collaboratively in large, cross-functional teams. Basic knowledge of the banking domain especially for deposits, trading, and etc in Singapore, including familiarity with MAS regulations.

Optional Strong analytical mindset with the ability to approach problems in a structured and logical manner. Clear and professional communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including users, IT teams, and external vendors. Experience in data architecture and warehouse design.

Experience working with non-technical stakeholders Experience working in or with Japanese-oriented companies or clients. Understanding of Japanese work culture or business communication styles Proficiency in Japanese language (JLPT N2 or above) to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking stakeholders. Databricks certification or equivalent cloud platform credentials (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
