Estimator – Structural Steel Location: South Yorkshire Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Mon–Thu 08:30–17:00, Friday 08:30–15:45 (Early weekend start!) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + Excellent Benefits Package Are you a commercially aware estimating professional who thrives on variety, detail, and building strong client relationships? We are seeking a customer-focused Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of the enquiry and tender processes, working closely with clients and cross-functional internal teams to identify and secure commercially viable schemes.

Key Responsibilities Enquiry & Tender Management: Oversee the full enquiry process, identifying commercially viable schemes and ensuring a smooth, accurate estimating lifecycle. Detailed Estimating: Prepare highly accurate, detailed cost estimates for clients by working directly from technical drawings and specifications.

Client Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen existing client partnerships while actively helping to develop new business opportunities. Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise closely with clients and internal departments across the business to ensure alignment from tender to project handover. What We Are Looking For Technical Understanding: A thorough, practical understanding of the estimating process, with a proven ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

Industry Experience: Prior experience working with Structural Steel is highly advantageous. Qualifications: Ideally holds a relevant qualification in a technical or engineering-related discipline. Key Skills: Strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills at all levels, and the ability to manage a varied workload within tight deadlines.
