Job Description for the Position Estimation Engineer About the Company Wilson Composites India LLP specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of custom architectural fiberglass (FRP) and GFRC products for the commercial construction industry. The company delivers high-quality engineered solutions for complex architectural projects and collaborates with international clients including U.S.-based project teams. Job Summary The Estimation Engineer is responsible for aiding the WC-US Sales department and the Estimation Manager in every facet of their daily operations.
He / She will play an active role in lead generation, database management, drawing markup / takeoff and estimating functions for the company. He / she will also support general company operations. Overview of Responsibilities (Primary) % of Time Estimating / Pricing 50% Take off quantities of GFRC, GFRG, FRP, architectural stones, architectural and ornamental items, from architectural drawings.
Marking up, measuring and labeling of materials in the drawings using Bluebeam software as per our standards and accuracy Preparing excel based – Scope of Work & pricing draft creation and checking for accuracy prior to review by Managers. Securing outside vendor pricing for special projects / project conditions CAD Drawings 15% Assisting the sales department with project specific detailed drawings Assisting the marketing department with product development drawings E-mails (ITB) Review and Acceptance 15% Daily review and maintenance of Invitation-to-Bid e-mails and lead sources Active project Bid List management Salesforce & MS Teams project creation Sales Support 10% Assisting the US and India teams with Daily Salesforce data entry and special projects as needed General Operations 10% Assisting all teams in miscellaneous tasks Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture Areas of Experience: Two to three years of experience in architectural estimation required. Previous work in a manufacturing or construction environment is desired.
Special skills/requirements: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness. A problem solver. Proficient in latest versions of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office 365 and Bluebeam PDF Revu.
Strong work ethic. Works well as part of a team. Proficient at multi-tasking.
