Environment Manager Reporting to the General Manager, the Environment Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive environmental controls and monitoring programs, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements while supporting safe and sustainable project execution across site operations. This role works closely with project teams and subcontractors to develop environmental management plans and conduct field inspections, identify and mitigate environmental risks, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and oversee the preparation of environmental reporting in alignment with established management systems and best practices. What You’ll Do Here Design and implement the Comprehensive Environmental Controls and Methods Plan (CECMP), including air quality and dust control, noise and vibration monitoring, groundwater management, surface water runoff management, and other environmental monitoring.
Work with team members, including subcontractors, to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Perform field inspections, surveys and walk‑downs of environment‑related activities to assure field activities, conditions and results correspond with the CECMP. Identify and report environmental issues and concerns to the Management Team and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Identify opportunities for continual improvement within the context of project execution and work with the Management Team to develop and implement proactive strategies. Prepare a variety of environmental checklists and reports as per contractual requirements. What You Bring to the Team University degree (or equivalent training and experience) in a related field: environmental science, environmental engineering, applied sciences, etc.
Experience in environmental planning, monitoring, oversight, and/or reporting. Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and their correlation with sound environmental performance and best practices. Knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements, including provincial legislation and municipal bylaws.
Strong interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication capabilities. Pay range: $95,000 - $135,000 per year.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
