It also offers infrastructure development through NFI Infrastructure Solutions™, a service dedicated to providing safe, sustainable, and reliable charging and mobility solutions. POSITION SUMMARY Accountable for the supervision, coordination and performance of the assigned Technical Section as formed within the existing Engineering Groups. Personally, and through a group of designers, ensures the completion and accuracy of assigned tasks from the initial design stage to implementation.

Provides technical leadership and oversees product development for advanced control implementations as they proceed through the design process. WHAT YOU WILL DO Supervise employees of the section to ensure completion of all assigned tasks to New Flyer standards. Balance task assignments between section members to ensure deadlines are met.

Complete engineering design tasks to support production. Coordinate own tasks to ensure deadlines are met, including maintaining a task status and recording time spent on each task. Create engineering designs to meet customer specifications and production requirements for manufacturability.

Coordinate trial installations of designs to ensure customer expectations are met and product reliability is verified, including component fit. Complete engineering drawings and release documentation in accordance with the Engineering procedures. Provide engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, Purchasing, and other departments in all facilities as required.

Interact with vendors and customers on design related issues. Check, and/or approve engineering documents as authorized. Perform annual employee performance reviews for direct reports.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Registered Professional Engineer or engineering technologist with a minimum of 4 years’ experience or equivalent. Design‑related experience of a minimum of 4+ years. Design‑based knowledge related to essential functions as stated above.

Strong Unigraphics skills. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work independently.

Ability to motivate employees and train new employees. Ability to use MS Office, Word, Excel and advanced programming tools as needed for projects and position. WHY JOIN OUR TEAM Competitive wages.
