Job Description

Job Overview Engineering Co‑op – Johnson Electric. Location: Ancaster, ON, Canada (onsite). Salary: $22‑$24 per hour.

Full‑time day shift. Co‑op position. No relocation or travel.

Responsibilities Assist with the implementation of standardized work instructions and other Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects. Ensure compliance with Johnson Electric Production Systems and ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, all company policies and industry standards. Interact with production operators, technicians and other key resources to aid documentation, standardization and improvement of processes.

Assist and create mechanical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc. Create and update work instructions, tooling documents and other procedural materials. Maintain the PM system and conduct PMs on fixtures.

Operate the tooling room on tooling set‑up, place tools in the tooling matrix system and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain plant layout and perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Working toward a technical degree or diploma.

Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills; independent and self‑motivated. Hands‑on experience and practical skills; this is a hands‑on role.

Committed to meeting deadlines and able to multitask and change priorities. Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Software. Strong AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience.

Can‑do attitude and willingness to be involved in hands‑on projects. Effective written and verbal communication at all levels. High integrity, dependability, sense of urgency and results orientation.
