Now Hiring β Electrical Engineering Technologist (Permanent F/T) Provolve Power Technologies Inc. specializes in engineered power system solutions and commissioning/maintenance for low, medium and high voltage electrical apparatus. We are based out of Edmonton, Alberta, offering our services throughout Alberta. You will be working in our office and also on-site at various locations.
We are currently seeking to hire an Electrical Engineering Technologist in a permanent, full time position, to start as soon as possible for our many upcoming projects. You will be based out of Edmonton, AB, and our projects are throughout Alberta. Our starting wage is $38.00/hour based upon a 40hour work week.
We offer medical benefits, dental benefits, RRSP benefits and life insurance benefits as well as paid time off. You should be willing to work on-call and willing to work overtime. Hours can be morning, day, evening, night as well as weekends.
You must speak English. You should have completed college/CEGEG with a diploma program of at least one year and have between 1 year to less than 2 years experience. You must be a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET).
You should know AutoCAD and MS Office. You will be working with electric motors, generators, drives and motor controls, electronic testing equipment and systems, and industrial processes. You should have experience in electrical utilities and energy including design, testing and trouble shooting.
Specifically you will design and develop power equipment and systems; interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation; read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements; service equipment; test power equipment and systems; assist in design, development and testing; assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports; assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components; conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems; set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems; complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. You should have a strong client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, show initiative, and be organized. You should be a team player who has strong values and ethics who is dependable and dedicated.
This is a fast paced environment while working under pressure with tight deadlines. You will need good attention to detail. You should have a valid driverβs license and be willing to travel.
