Inverter Performance Engineer â Origis Energy Join the Origis Energy team to accelerate the transition to a carbonâfree future. Origis Energy is a leading renewable energy and decarbonization platform focused on grid power generation, performance optimisation, and longâterm operation of solar and energy storage plants across the United States. Position Overview The Inverter Performance Engineer , reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, will provide subjectâmatter expertise on inverter selection, application, and performance for Origis Energyâs project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate with internal engineering to maintain technical specifications and standards. Collaborate with the supplyâchain team to establish and maintain Origisâ approved vendor list for inverters.
Build and sustain relationships with inverter OEM sales, technical, service, and warranty teams. Assess emerging inverter technologies and advancements. Work with project teams to define inverter design standards and implementation strategies.
Advise construction teams on commissioning and testing procedures for inverters. Monitor fleet inverter performance to ensure optimal energy conversion and plant efficiency. Design and implement inverter operations training programs in partnership with the training team.
Diagnose inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and provide technical support to enhance availability. Collaborate with service teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve inverterârelated issues. Preferred Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. 5+ years of experience (Manager level) or 8+ years (Director level) in solar PV operations with a focus on inverter technology and performance analysis.
Strong understanding of inverter design and functionality, and familiarity with PV and energy storage system design. Proficiency in data analysis and performance monitoring tools. Proactive troubleshooting and problemâsolving skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
Collaborative approach in a fastâpaced environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP, manufacturerâspecific) are a plus. Key Attributes for Success Detailâoriented and highly organized.
