Electrical Engineer

Job Description At AECOM, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our Belfast office. Here’s what you’ll do: AECOM is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Belfast team. This role will focus on delivering complex, high-profile projects across the residential, healthcare, education, and infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving technical excellence, mentoring team members, and supporting the strategic growth of our electrical engineering practice in Northern Ireland. We work across a diverse range of sectors, including healthcare, data centres, commercial, hospitality, education, and civic projects, serving both public and private clients. Key Responsibilities: Deliver the technical aspects of projects or defined work packages, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Manage the technical delivery of projects, from interpreting client briefs to coordinating designs with other disciplines. Lead and support engineers and technicians, ensuring deliverables align with project schedules and requirements. Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.

Ensure all work and design solutions comply with health and safety standards and company quality assurance procedures. Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional development and career progression within the organisation. Qualifications Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

We are looking for a driven and experienced professional with a strong background in electrical engineering. As the successful candidate, you will have: Degree in Electrical Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent, working towards chartered status. Experience mostly of which will have been gained in design within a consultancy environment.

In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations. Experience in small to medium-sized projects. Be familiar with BIM standards and BIM project delivery.
