Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer who can quickly step in and contribute to both ongoing and new product development efforts. This role requires a strong practical experience across the full product lifecycle, from schematic and layout through bring-up, testing, and documentation. The position is not purely sr, but candidates must be capable of working independently with minimal ramp time.

Responsibilities + Support and own electrical design work across multiple PCBA-based products. + Work in Altium Designer, contributing to schematic capture and PCB layout. + Assist with board bring-up, troubleshooting, and late-stage design validation. + Act as the primary Electrical Engineer on assigned portions of projects, owning specific sections of board bring-up and electrical functionality. + Develop and maintain design documentation for new and existing designs. + Support EMI/EMC testing, including taking products to third-party test houses and working through test results. + Provide a second set of eyes on existing designs during final validation phases. + Use standard lab equipment to debug and validate hardware. Essential Skills + Experience working through full product lifecycle development. + Hands-on PCBA experience with real production hardware. + Prior Altium Designer experience with schematic and PCB layout exposure. + Ability to work independently and contribute immediately without extensive onboarding. + Strong troubleshooting mindset and a collaborative approach when working with other Electrical Engineers. + Understanding of digital signals and microcontroller interfacing with external circuitry. + Basic familiarity with communication protocols such as I²C. + Practical analog skills including signal integrity and signal switching fundamentals. Additional Skills & Qualifications + C proficiency is a plus, though not required. + Prior EMC/EMI test house experience. + Exposure to complex boards, even if layout responsibility was partial. + Experience working in fast-paced hardware development environments.

Work Environment This role is 100% on-site and located on SW 72nd Ave, Portland, OR. The contract length is 6 months. The work environment includes the use of standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers.

The position requires a candidate who can take and complete projects from start to finish, understands both analog and digital fundamentals, and is knowledgeable about full product development. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
