Electrical Cost Analyst

This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment. This role requires a detail-oriented, commercially astute professional who can accurately assess costs, develop competitive pricing strategies, and ensure compliance with governance requirements for framework contracts and project-specific tenders.

The Estimator will play a key role in securing profitable work by producing high-quality, compliant, and market-competitive estimates that align with the M Groups growth and margin objectives. You'll complete detailed cost estimating in line with the M Group Water Estimating Strategy, Governance, and Assurance requirements, preparing accurate and timely estimates for framework contracts and individual project tenders across Clean Water Mains Replacement and Wastewater Storm Overflow works. Ensure all estimates fully reflect scope, risk profile, contract conditions, and margin enhancement objectives, while remaining compliant with SODA and Work Winning Governance procedures.

Work closely with project teams, bid managers, commercial teams, and operational leads, I develop robust, commercially viable estimates aligned to delivery strategies. Strong technical and commercial understanding of construction methods and market trends. Proficient in estimating software, cost databases, and Microsoft Excel.
