Job Description

Position Summary The Director, Sales – Canada reports to the General Manager and is accountable for driving profitable sales growth across Canada (Central, East, and West regions). This role provides strategic leadership for national sales operations, including sales planning, market expansion, customer relationship development, and team leadership. The Director is responsible for aligning sales execution across regions and ensuring the organization operates with consistent, scalable, and effective commercial practices.

Strategic Sales Leadership Develop and execute national sales strategies and annual/quarterly sales plans aligned with company growth objectives. Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion across Canada. Identify and act on new business opportunities across regions, channels, and customer segments.

Provide strategic oversight of key national accounts via CDMs, guiding relationship management and execution while maintaining ultimate accountability for customer satisfaction, retention, and growth. Commercial Excellence & Standardization Implement standardized sales processes, tools, and performance metrics across regions. Improve pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and overall sales effectiveness.

Align sales strategy with estimating, engineering, operations, and product capabilities. Support pricing strategies and commercial decisions to ensure margin optimization. Leadership & Talent Development Lead, coach, and develop CDMs and sales teams across Canada while driving succession planning and actively building leadership capability to ensure a strong pipeline of future sales leaders.

Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results. Design and implement training and development initiatives to strengthen sales capabilities. Lead through change and drive alignment across regions and functions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with VP Sales- Architectural Metals, Finance, Engineering, and Marketing to align on business priorities. Support product launch initiatives, sales enablement, and market positioning. Ensure consistent customer experience and alignment across internal functions.

Strategic Projects & Large-Scale Opportunities Provide leadership in the evaluation and feasibility of large‑scale projects. Support execution of complex, high‑value sales opportunities. Identify and leverage opportunities for synergies across sister companies.

Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of proven experience in sales leadership roles within construction, building materials, manufacturing, or related industries. Proven ability to lead sales transformation by leveraging CRM systems and data analytics to drive modern selling strategies, enhance consistency, and enable data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. Experience managing multi‑regional sales teams and complex accounts.

Experience in Aluminum building envelope system, windows, doors, curtain wall would be an asset. Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth and executing strategic sales initiatives. Strong commercial acumen including contracts, drawings, and project‑based sales.

Knowledge of building envelope systems (curtain wall/storefront) is an asset. University degree required. Leadership Competencies Strategic mindset with ability to execute.

Effective communication and executive presence. Ability to lead through change. Working Conditions & Requirements Travel up to 50% mainly in Ontario.

Bilingual (English/French) is an asset. Salary Range CAD $140,000 – $180,000. Benefits Annual Incentive Program.
