Overview This position will work closely with the President & CEO and External Affairs team to achieve fundraising goals. The Development Director is responsible for growing and sustaining the base of individual and institutional donors, manage donor and corporate relationships, and participate in networking and partnership activities to elevate the visibility of the org. This position reports to the President & CEO and works as a part of, and in collaboration with, a diverse and results-oriented External Affairs team that centers the needs of students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in direct fundraising and/or corporate engagement is essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with various types of people Strong project management skills. Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge and experience using donor management software (CRM) Passion for the organization’s mission and commitment to community engagement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Individual Giving & Foundations Research funding opportunities from various sources that match the goals and objectives of the org.

Develop and execute a comprehensive donor outreach plan to grow the org’s individual donor base, including research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship Manage a portfolio of individual donors, including its Board of Directors, and foundations, with a focus on unrestricted gifts, and develop and maintain effective working relationships with donors. Support with donor management and cultivation, correspondence, preparing reports and performance dashboards, and development of resources and collateral for development purpose Administer grant management process including grant writing, compliance, monitor grant status and reporting. Corporate Giving Partner with External Affairs team to develop and execute a comprehensive plan to grow and sustain corporate giving, through sponsorships, grants, and partnerships, utilizing strategic campaigns for engagemet Oversee corporate volunteer efforts that support strategic priorities of the o Serve as a point of contact and manage corporate relationships Special Events & Campaigns Support the team in the development and execution of special events, including events, community events, and fundraisers.

In collaboration with the External Affairs Team, design and write pitch and cultivation materials for online, email and print distributors. Partner with the External Affairs Team to track and measure the success of the org's outreach and fundraising campaings. Collaborate with External Affairs Team to strengthen and enhance monthly giving and charity running programs.

To allow for salary progression over time, offers at the top of the range are rare. Individual education and experience will be considered when issuing offers.
