Position Overview Detection & Investigation Analyst Lead within PNC's EFR/CONTRLS AND EXECUTION organization, based in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires in‑office presence 5 days a week, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM AZ MT. Responsibilities Review and investigate customer cases, reports, and work for potential and actual loss, minimizing fraud, anti‑money laundering and organizational risk.
Perform early detection of suspicious activity, control and prevent losses, and lead or train detection and investigation staff as needed. Research and analyze bank activities and reports to detect and prevent fraudulent and suspicious activities; recommend disposition and identify gaps and control enhancements. Use defined research procedures to identify and resolve issues, identify trends, and elevate as appropriate.
Follow standards and practices to mitigate fraud, AML and other risk exposure; share best practices with team and service partners. Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation of analysis performed, coordinating with internal or external stakeholders. Qualifications Strong leadership and decision‑making skills; prior leadership experience is required.
Experience in financial or fraud analysis, branch work, detection, investigations, accounting, or data analysis. Analytical thinking, customer solutions, operational risk management, problem resolution, and research skills. Knowledge of AML/sanctions policies, business ethics, process improvement, effective communication, fraud detection and prevention, information capture, operational risk, problem solving, and SOPs.
University/college degree; No certification or license requirements.
