Data Engineer Tester

Title : Data Engineer Tester Location : Downtown Ottawa, hybrid 2/3 a week on-site Duration : 4-month to start with possibility of extension till May 31st 2028 Requirements: Experience writing tests cases and tests scripts based on documented data mapping and business data transformation rules. Experience with various types of software testing such as functional, integration, system integration, performance, etc. for data transformation processes. Experience with Microsoft Azure data platform: Azure Databricks, SQL Databases, Azure Data Lake.

Experience with additional programming languages: Scala, Python, R, SQL, Azure functions. Experience in systems development with analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of software systems. Experience with the implementation of batch and stream data processing pipelines Experience writing complex SQL queries, performance tuning and data optimization Designing, developing, implementing, and testing data solutions for reporting applications such as Power BI Preferred Qualifications Experience working on large scale data analytics projects.

Experience with the development of Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards. Ability to communicate clearly in conversation and in presentations to both technical and non-technical staff, and to provide updates to all levels of management and customer Experience with Agile sprint development using Azure DevOps.
