Data Engineer

We are currently representing a leading energy organisation seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support their Trading and Commercial teams. Role Overview: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support trading and commercial analytics.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver effective solutions. Work closely with data and digital teams to develop data models, governance frameworks, and ingestion processes. Improve data quality, ensure data accessibility, and promote best practices across data workflows.

Support the integration of AI and automation tools to enhance data insights and operational efficiency. Required Experience & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Data Engineer, preferably within energy or trading sectors.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, cloud platforms, and data pipeline tools such as Databricks or Apache Spark. Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience with data modelling, architecture, and modern data ecosystems.
