Controls Engineer

We are working with a leading engineering delivery specialist who are supporting over 40 live data centre projects across the UK and are looking to appoint an experienced Controls / BMS / EMS Engineer. This is a flexible opportunity offering a hybrid working model (23 days remote) with the option to remain on contract or transition into a permanent role long-term.

You will play a key role in supporting the design, integration, and optimisation of BMS and EMS systems across multiple live and upcoming data centre projects. This is a great opportunity to work across a large portfolio of mission-critical sites, contributing to high-performance, energy-efficient environments. The Role Support the design, configuration, and integration of BMS and EMS systems Work across multiple data centre projects providing remote technical support Assist with commissioning, testing, and optimisation of control systems Interface with site teams, commissioning engineers, and project stakeholders Troubleshoot and resolve controls-related issues across live environments Support energy monitoring, reporting, and system performance improvements Review technical documentation, drawings, and control strategies Ensure systems align with project specifications and client requirements Provide input into system upgrades, improvements, and innovation initiatives xwzovoh About You Strong background in BMS / EMS / Controls Engineering Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects Knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, and automation Experience with systems such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider, or similar Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills Comfortable working remotely while supporting multiple projects Good communication skills and ability to engage with site teams
