Contract Manager

Contracts Manager – High Rise Residential We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of 3–5 high-rise residential developments across Birmingham, with project values ranging from £50m+. This is a highly client-facing role requiring a commercially astute construction professional with proven experience managing multiple large-scale schemes simultaneously. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving programme performance, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence from pre-construction through to handover.

Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee 3–5 live high-rise residential projects across Birmingham Lead project teams to ensure delivery on programme, budget, quality, and safety targets Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders Support Project Managers and Site Teams in resolving operational and commercial issues Monitor project performance, reporting progress and risks to senior leadership Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations and company standards Drive programme, procurement, and resource planning across multiple schemes Maintain strong relationships with clients and external partners to support repeat business opportunities Attend regular client meetings and lead progress reviews Promote a positive health & safety culture across all sites Requirements Previous experience working as a Contracts Manager or Project Director within a main contractor environment Proven track record delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments valued at £50m+ Strong experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills Strong leadership and team management capability Commercial awareness with a good understanding of construction contracts and programme management Experience delivering high-rise residential schemes is essential SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications preferred Desirable Experience working within the Birmingham or wider Midlands market Stable career history with recognised main contractors Ability to lead from pre-construction through to completion This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor delivering flagship residential developments across the Midlands.
