Composites Engineer

We're a composites manufacturing startup producing carbon fibre performance products — automotive aero, drone frames, motorsport accessories, and more. As we build out our production team, we need a technical lead who has run a composites operation before and can set up ours from scratch. You won't be making parts.

You'll be making sure they're made right. What you'll own: · CAD and mould design — from customer brief to production-ready tooling · Process engineering — defining layup schedules, resin systems, cure cycles, and production methods for each product · Shop setup — equipment, materials sourcing, workflow, and safety · Labour management — hiring, training, and directing fabrication staff · Quality — setting inspection standards and signing off on finished components · Cost control — BOMs, material yield, waste reduction, and per-unit COGS tracking What we're looking for: · 3-5 years in composites manufacturing with experience overseeing a production team · Deep knowledge of CF and FG processes — hand layup, vacuum bagging, resin infusion, wet layup — even if you're no longer doing them yourself · CAD proficiency (SolidWorks / Fusion 360) and mould design experience · Someone who can translate a product idea into a repeatable manufacturing process Background in automotive, UAV/drone, motorsport, aerospace, or defence composites preferred.
