Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled Completion Engineer to support our client's operations in the oil and gas sector. This role is ideal for a mid-career engineering professional with strong expertise in well completions and production engineering, who can contribute to complex projects while providing technical leadership and sound engineering judgment. Job Details Location: Calgary, AB Shift: Monday to Friday | 8 hours a day Job type: Temporary | Full-time Benefits Paid weekly accurate and on time Strong health and safety programs Medical and dental benefits once qualified Free training programs New and quicker onboarding process Responsibilities Provide engineering leadership and technical expertise to optimize well completion and production processes Participate in the planning, design, and construction of producing facilities Analyze operating conditions and system performance to identify improvement opportunities Develop solutions to complex engineering problems using a combination of standard and modified approaches Conduct independent studies, analysis, and evaluations related to assigned projects Apply Process Safety standards in design, execution, and change management activities Identify risks, barriers to implementation, and develop mitigation strategies Utilize advanced engineering tools and software to analyze data and develop recommendations Review engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across engineering, operations, and project teams Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science 5-7 years of relevant Oil & Gas industry experience, specifically in Completion or Production Engineering Must be eligible for or hold a P.Eng designation (APEGA - Alberta) Strong experience in well completions and production optimization Experience working in oil & gas operations (oil sands experience preferred) Proficiency with engineering design and analysis software Strong understanding of engineering principles and their impact across multidisciplinary systems Solid knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements Ability to analyze and solve complex, multi-variable engineering problems Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound engineering decisions using independent judgment Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proactive in identifying risks and driving mitigation strategies Collaborative team player with mentoring capability Results-driven with a focus on safety, efficiency, and performance Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and identities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
