With strong roots in the community and a growing footprint, TCL delivers high-quality sporting experiences while working closely with clubs, academies, venues, officials, and partners.

Role Overview As Competition Manager, you will own end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of TCL’s leagues and tournaments. This is a senior operational role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders under tight timelines. You will be responsible for ensuring every TCL event runs professionally, safely, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities 1. Event Planning & Execution • Plan and execute TCL leagues, tournaments, and special events across multiple venues. • Create detailed event plans including schedules, matchday workflows, manpower deployment, and contingencies. • Oversee matchday operations including registrations, fixtures, officials, medical, and logistics. 2. Venue & Vendor Management • Coordinate with venue owners and facility managers for bookings, layouts, and compliance. • Manage vendors for equipment, referees, medical services, branding, printing, and logistics. • Ensure all vendors deliver as per timelines, quality standards, and agreements. 3.

Team, Official & Stakeholder Coordination • Act as the primary point of contact for teams, academies, referees, and technical officials. • Handle pre-event briefings, matchday issue resolution, and post-event follow-ups. • Maintain strong working relationships with associations, coaches, and community stakeholders. 4. Manpower & On-Ground Management • Recruit, train, and manage event staff, volunteers, and interns. • Allocate roles and responsibilities for matchdays and events. • Ensure discipline, professionalism, and smooth coordination on the field and off it. 5. Compliance, Safety & Quality Control • Ensure events follow competition rules, safety protocols, and operational SOPs. • Manage medical readiness, emergency procedures, and crowd control when required. • Maintain high standards of professionalism and participant experience. 6.

Budgeting & Reporting • Assist in event budgeting, cost control, and vendor negotiations. • Track expenses and ensure efficient use of resources. • Prepare post-event reports covering operations, challenges, and improvements. Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, or related fields. • 3–4 years of hands-on experience managing sports events, leagues, or tournaments end-to-end. • Strong operational planning and on-ground execution skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams simultaneously. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure. • Willingness to work weekends, long hours, and matchdays. Preferred • Experience in grassroots or semi-professional sports environments. • Strong network with venues, referees, officials, and event vendors in Bangalore. • Background in football, racquet sports, or multi-sport events.
