Civil Engineer

Job Description: Civil Engineer Our client, a well-established civil engineering and construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their growing team on projects based in the Hillsborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to take ownership of site engineering activities while working alongside an experienced project delivery team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

Key Responsibilities Carry out all setting out and surveying duties on site. Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements. Liaise closely with Site Managers, Contracts Managers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of site records and documentation. Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise on site.

Support the management and coordination of subcontractors. Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance. Ensure all engineering works are delivered accurately and within programme requirements.

Candidate Requirements HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or construction projects. Proficient in setting out using modern surveying equipment.

Strong understanding of construction drawings and technical specifications. Valid CSR/CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a project team. Full driving licence. Desirable Experience Experience working on large-scale civil engineering, infrastructure or reinforced concrete projects.

Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and site documentation. Previous experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities. What's on Offer Competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000.
