Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) About the Company Prominent provider of inpatient rehabilitation services Industry Hospital & Health Care Type Non Profit About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief Nursing Officer to oversee nursing operations and ensure clinical excellence within a high-performing inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of nursing, including quality, safety, staffing, and regulatory compliance. This role involves serving as a key member of the hospital leadership team, partnering with medical, clinical, and therapy leadership to drive patient outcomes, and fostering a high-performance, team-oriented culture. The Chief Nursing Officer will also be tasked with owning nursing policies, clinical programs, and performance improvement initiatives, as well as managing staffing models, budgets, and workforce planning.Applicants for the Chief Nursing Officer position at the company must have an active RN license, with BLS certification required and ACLS preferred. A commitment to obtaining CRRN certification is also necessary. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field, with an advanced degree or demonstrated leadership competencies. A minimum of five years of inpatient hospital nursing experience, including two years of recent nursing leadership with 24-hour accountability, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in staffing and FTE oversight, policy ownership, budget responsibility, and disciplinary authority. The ability to support variable scheduling and a strong commitment to the values of accountability, inclusion, and teamwork are also key qualifications for this position.
